The things people actually ask
What counts as an active user?
Anyone switched on in your team in Settings. A tradie who only logs time counts the same as an admin. Switch someone off when they leave and the next bill drops. Customers who view a quote or pay an invoice are not users, and you are never charged for them.
Do I pay extra for customers?
No. There is no customer tax. People who open a quote, accept one, or pay an invoice do not count as seats.
Are Xero, email, and Stripe extra?
No. Email, Stripe payment links, and Xero are on every paid plan. You pay Stripe their usual transaction fee on card payments. That fee is Stripe's, not ours. Email is included on hosted GoSmoko.
How does AI usage work?
Every plan includes AI credits each month: 5,000 on Solo, 3,000 per person on Crew and Business, pooled. Turning a Talk it out, a photo or a file into drafts usually uses 5 to 10 credits; a minute of voice or a supplier bill about 10 to 15. Settings shows how much of the month's credits you have used, and we warn you at 80% and when they run out. Need more? Packs of 10,000 credits are $10, bought only when you choose. Packs open with paid plans; until then nobody is cut off or charged for AI. We do not call it unlimited, and we do not send a surprise silent bill.
Is the trial really free?
Yes. Your trial starts when you sign up: the full product for 7 days. When it ends we ask you to pick a plan and add a card, and the first charge is then. Don't pick one and you are not charged.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel any time. During the trial there is nothing to cancel, because nothing is charged until you pick a plan. After that you keep access for the period you have already paid.
Are these prices in NZD?
Yes. Per person per month in New Zealand dollars, excluding GST. Australian customers are billed in NZD at the same rate.
Can I change plan later?
Any time, in both directions. Moving up takes effect immediately. Moving down applies at your next billing date so you are never cut off mid-month.
What happens to my data if I leave?
It stays yours. Ask and we send you an export of your jobs, quotes and invoices, and anything already pushed to Xero is in your ledger regardless. You can delete the business yourself in Settings, or we delete it on request.
